Your Needs

Because we are all different, it would be impossible to list all the different types of homecare support we can provide you with.

However as a starting point, here are a few examples of help we can offer you:

  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Dressing and undressing
  • Bathing and washing
  • Preparing meals
  • Shopping and housework

From your initial enquiry we will set out as clearly as possible the support we can arrange. At this initial stage, we can also outline areas of support we cannot provide, you can then be sure our services are fitting to your current needs.

 

Assessment Visit

A home visit can also be arranged at the very first stage in order for you, and perhaps a family member or friend to discuss your individual care needs. We call this an assessment visit, this is free of charge and carries no obligation to engage our services.

Our primary concern here is that you have as much say as possible in regard to your care requirements, together we can draw up a detailed and specific plan of your personal care. This process enables the consideration of important issues, such as:

  • Your individual care needs, including how you would like to be looked after
  • Your health and safety, including that of our staff
  • Any equipment you may use for care, such as hoists, chairs, zimmers etc.
  • Your relevant medical history
  • Any medication you may be taking
  • Any consultants and or specialists you are currently seeing
  • Any religious or cultural preferences
  • Any communication problems you may have
  • Any special dietary requirements
  • The people you would like us to contact in an emergency

All information that you provide will be treated as confidential and only used in correspondence with your care.

 

Care Folder

This personal care plan, along with a record of our visits will stay in your home, enabling your care worker to read and record in when they visit, should your needs change, this can be easily amended.

We are very happy for you to read your care folder, making any adjustments or comments you see fit. This will be kept confidentially and locked away when not in use.

 

Ongoing Services

Premier Care are totally committed to providing a high standard of professional care. You can expect your Home Care Support Worker to arrive and finish on time, looking smart and performing their duties in a safe and professional manner.

Your care will be reviewed as an ongoing exercise at each visit by your Home Care Support Worker alongside an annual review by our Care Manager. Our Care Management Team will always be available to deal with anything that your care worker needs assistance with any aspect of the visit. From time to time we will ask for your views on the care we provide, in order to improve our service in any way
we can.
